Tunisian Simple Stitch Panel

by M. J. Joachim

Panels can be made any length desired. Once made, they can be joined together, to make a wide assortment of projects.

Foundation:  Chain 24; use standard Tunisian crochet method to cast on and cast off loops for foundation row, shown here on the Lots of Crochet Stitches blog.

Step 1:  Use Tunisian Simple Stitch  (TSS) to crochet panel length desired.

Step 2:  When panel is length desired and you have 1 loop on your hook at the end of your last row, switch to traditional crochet hook that is the same size as your afghan hook.

Step 3:  Chain 1, single crochet in same corner

Step 4:  Evenly single crochet once in each stitch and row around edges of panel, making 3 sc in each corner. When you get all the way around, to your first sc in the round, sc twice in corner and join with a slip stitch to first sc of round, to complete 3 sc in your very first corner.

Finish off.
