Foundation:  Make a multiple of 15 chain stitches (+8 more chain stitches)

Step 1:  Single crochet in 3rd chain from hook (this is your first picot stitch)

Step 2:  Chain 2, make 1 double crochet in 10th chain from hook

Step 3:  Chain 8, slip stitch in 3rd chain from hook (to make picot), chain 2

Step 4:  Double crochet in 5th chain from hook of foundation chain

Step 5:  Repeat Step 3; double crochet in next dc

Step 6:  Chain 5, double crochet in next dc

Step 7:  Chain 8, picot (slip stitch in 3rd chain from hook), chain 2, double crochet in next dc; repeat Step 7 one more time, so you have two sets of Step 7 stitches

Step 8:  Repeat Step 5

Step 9:  Make 5 double crochet in next chain 5 space; dc in next dc

Step 10:  Repeat Step 7 followed by Step 9

[Repeat Step 10 across row, ending by making only 1 set of Step 7 stitches and making 1 double crochet in the 3rd chain past last picot of previous row]

Step 11:  Repeat Step 5

Step 12:  Double crochet in each of the next 6 dc; Repeat Step 7

[Repeat Step 12 across row, ending by making only 1 set of Step 7 stitches and making 1 double crochet in the 3rd chain past last picot of previous row]

Step 13:  Repeat Step 5

Step 14:  Chain 8, picot, chain 2; double crochet in 6th dc from hook; repeat Step 7

[Repeat Step 14 across row, finishing row as described in Steps 10 and 12]

Step 15:  Make 1 row of picot pattern across next row by beginning row with Step 5 and following Step 7 across row.

Repeat Steps 5 – 15 for continuous pattern.
