Uses 2 colors: Colors A & B

Foundation chain:  Using Color A, make a multiple of 3 chain (+ 2 more chain stitches)

Step 1:  Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook

Step 2:  Chain 2, single crochet in 3rd chain from hook

[Repeat Step 2 across row.]

Step 3:  Join Color B on last single crochet of previous row

To join new color:

>>>Insert hook in desired stitch or space

>>>Make ½ of your desired stitch

>>>Add new color to hook and finish stitch with new color

Step 4:  Using Color B, chain 4, turn

Step 5:  Make 3 double crochet in next chain 2 space; chain 1

[Repeat Step 5 across row, ending with chain 1 + 1 double crochet in last single crochet of row.]

DO NOT TURN

Step 6:  Drop Color B; pick up Color A (on opposite side of work), to crochet across row of Color B just completed

Step 7:  Insert hook under 4th chain at beginning of previous row (Color B); using Color A, yarn over and draw up a loop

Step 8:  Chain 1, single crochet in same place

Step 9:  Chain 2, single crochet in next chain 1 space

Repeat Step 9 across row. Join Color B on last single crochet in row, as indicated in Step 3; continue pattern by following Steps 3 – 9. Finish off by drawing both colors through last stitch made.
